Fluid on the lungs can refer to pleural effusion, which is a buildup of fluid in the pleural cavity, or pulmonary edema, which is fluid in the lungs themselves.
Pleural effusion: Can affect one or both lungs; can be caused by pneumonia, heart disease, liver disease, kidney disease, or cancer. There are two types of pleural effusion: transudative and exudative. Transudative pleural effusion is caused by increased blood pressure or low blood protein, while exudative pleural effusion is caused by blocked blood vessels, inflammation, infection, lung injury, or tumors.
Pulmonary edema: A buildup of fluid in the lungs that makes it hard to breathe, usually caused by heart problems. Symptoms include difficulty breathing, shortness of breath, wheezing, and fatigue. In cases of sudden pulmonary edema (fluid on the lungs), you normally need immediate treatment in the emergency room or intensive care unit. Tah is what this procedure is designed for obtaining relief, expelling the fluid.
There are two separate TKM one-step procedures for these issues determined by whether it is a chronic situation or an emergency critical episode like drowning.
The Fluid on Lungs - Chronic procedure is for all chronic situations even though they may reach a critical stage.
The below procedure is for an acute/critical or life-threatening emergency (example: like drowning).
Procedure: A one-step procedure applied by placing your entire Right hand to cradle the entire (left & right side) base of the skull (occipital area/ES #4s), while your Left hand holds as much as possible of the person’s left & right Ring fingers (4th finger), both at the same time as illustrated.
You can he person’s left and right ring fingers to be placed over lapping each other and then hold them with your left hand wrapping around all three sections of the fingers (entire finger: tip, middle and base).
Hold this procedure for 5 minutes minimum or up to 20 minutes or more until there is relief. If the person is unconscious or in a coma, then turn the head so the fluid will expel freely.
